Christian Helplines/Prayerlines that work together to serve others
The Christian Helplines Association (CHA) was formed in 2004 in order to enable networking and encouragement of our ministries and to establish good practice and standards in the delivery of the servcies we offer.
Our Purposes Are:
1) To empower and enable Christian Helplines/Prayerlines in the UK to maintain good practice and standards in the delivery of services that they offer.
2) To meet together to support and encourage and pray for each other.
3) To enable and explore collaborative projects between members e.g. Training
4) To provide resources to others wishing to establish new Christian Helplines & Prayerlines.
The CHA is a loose association and as such has very limited financial resources. These are entirely used for paying for a web site, paying expenses for speakers at meetings and in exhibiting at Christian events.
Managers of the organisations meet about 3 times a year online or at venues of members who provide hospitality free of charge. These are invaluable for networking and to invite speakers on particular subjects of interest to members.
The Christian Helplines Association also holds a biannual Leaders Conference where there is an opportunity for key people in the member organisations to spend 24 hours togetherr. This may include people from their Executive Management, Trustees or Directors.
